As an old Indian saying: We don't inherit the world from our parents; we borrow it from our children

As I see what we've made
of the world we have been given
sometimes i want to shed a tear
people killing each other
for no apparent reason-
not that there are acceptional reasons
for killing one's own brother-
millions of innocent people
dying because of a lack of food
while on the other side of the ocean
people are dying
because of an abundance of food
sometimes I want to shed a tear
especially when i turn on the news
and an 18 year old skinhead-
just a kid for God's sake-
kills a black woman and a 2 year old girl
simply because the woman is black.
HAVEN'T WE LEARNED ANYTHING FROM OUR PAST?
DO WE HAVE TO CREATE THIS CIRCLE, LET THE SAME THINGS HAPPEN OVER AND OVER AGAIN??
